Located in the heart of New York City, we opened the doors to IBM’s Penn Station office this month.
Scope of work: Interior design & design management lead.
L a y o u t
The space is designed with a center of gravity by the pantry and entrance, followed by multiple break out nooks, tables at different heights and phone booths. This is to encourage socialization and teamwork, so that teams can use the break out spaces surrounding them to have a quick meeting or eat lunch together.
Design Mood Board
We wanted to keep to a natural and calming palette with lots of plants to convey a comfortable mood for the end user. The design incorporated lots of natural elements like wood and greenery with leather accents as a background. Then we layered it with IBM’s branding throughout either via artwork, paint color or accessories to convey company culture and add playfulness to the space.
